Cascade Sets New Sale Heights

Dulverton Angus is excited to be able to report that the “N” bull Todd Aitken and Jack Smith purchased at the 2019 Dulverton Angus Sale has been a contributor to the amazing Angus sale staged at Cascade yesterday. The Sire in question Dulverton New Approach N056 was represented by seven sons who recorded the very solid average of $19,714 in a sale that topped at $40K and averaged $18,208 for 48 head.

N056 is by Esselmont Lotto L3 from a daughter of Five Star Z51 (B/R Midland) Dulverton Dianna C259 who reared 11 progeny. John Sylvester reports Z51 worked naturally in one of his commercial clients herds until twelve years old. Plenty of Longevity included in N056’s pedigree. N056 was used as a yearling in the Dulverton herd and did prove his worth as a carcass marbler, his six sons in last years Dulverton Sale averaged 8 for Igenity Beef Profile carcass recorded marbling, including Q256 who registered a 10. Todd did mention that N056 is still very active and will continue his breeding duties at Cascade this Spring. We wish all the successful purchasers of N056 sons all the very best with their respective young Cascade sires.

Esslemont Lotto L3 has definitely been an impact Sire in the Dulverton herd, his other son of note being Dulverton New Approach N208 who has been retained in the Dulverton herd and was awarded a Grade 8 by Dick Whale. N208 is represented by 15 two year olds and one yearling on Monday 25/07/2022 at the Dulverton Sale, seven of N208’s sons in this Sale have Scored 8 for Igenity Beef Profile Carcass measured marbling and Lot 64 R014 a 9. These fellas will definitely assist improve carcass marbling in your herd.

In addition to breeding sons with the ability to go into Bull Breeding herds E. Lotto L3 has proven to be an outstanding sire of magnificent matrons. Lotto L3 is the sire of 13 dams who have sons represented in the Dulverton Sale of 2022. Further, he is the maternal grand  sire of Lot 85 D. Secretariat S005 and Lot 16 D. Snitzel S016, S005 is the only bull at Dulverton to be graded an 8 since N208.
